The University of Florida provides a wealth of cultural opportunities to allow student to expand their understanding of different cultures, engage with their own identities and find a home away from home.
The Campus Multi-Faith Cooperative is comprised of religious organizations and centers located in the vicinity of the University of Florida campus, dedicated to meeting the personal, religious, and social needs of university students, faculty and staff. Each adheres to the principles of its own tradition, but all accept and support the work of other members of the cooperative.
Hundreds of events and programs are held annually by student organizations as part of cultural month celebrations. Cultural months include: Black History Month, Women’s History Month, Pride Awareness Month, Jewish Awareness Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, Islam Appreciation Month, VISA International Month, Asian Kaleidoscope Month and many more.
Through transformative educational experiences and developmental opportunities, Multicultural and Diversity Affairs celebrates and empowers diverse communities and advocates for an inclusive campus for all students across identities. Multicultural & Diversity Affairs provides a wide range of services, educational opportunities, learning, support, outreach, activities and engagement for students.
Asian Pacific Islander Desi Affairs

Black Affairs creates, sustains, promotes and affirms Black scholarship, culture, history, and leadership. Black Affairs offers a variety of spaces for meetings, study space, community building social events, and educational workshops. Supports, empowers and advances the Hispanic-Latino/a community at UF. Florida Greek Community fosters the development of well-rounded individuals who embody the values of positive leadership, service, scholarship, and community while maintaining respect for the values, traditions and rituals of the member chapters. UF has traditionally diverse Greek council, the Multicultural Greek Council, as well as three other councils, the Interfraternity Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and the Panhellenic Council, all of which promote diversity from their membership and educational programming.
From Belize to Berlin, studying abroad is an exciting way for students to foster critical thinking skills and achieve a culturally diverse outlook on life. The International center helps students make the first leap abroad. The academic classroom and opportunities can also provide students an opportunity to gain a global perspective.
Student Activities & Involvement serves as a hub for all student organizations. There are opportunities to get involved with more than 1,000 student organizations, including organizations that celebrate international culture and heritage.
